Experience the grounding and elevating flow of Middle Path Internal Arts Root Chakra Work (Time Elapsed video).
This meditative and energizing sequence explores the dynamic balance between Earth and Heaven through Qigong movement and mindfulness.
This time-lapsed video features five root-based movements designed to activate stability, strength, and presence within the Root Chakra.
Those five movements are:
1. Closing the Gates
2. Mounting Horse
3. Wheel Root Work
4. Steady Current
5. Planting Roots
Following these foundational root-based exercises are seven suspended cloud hand postures that symbolize the ascent of consciousness from Earth to Heaven and its return from Heaven to Earth:
1. Kingdom Hands
2. Embracing Love
3. Shining Sun
4. Seven Stars
5. Expanding Horizon
6. Descending Sun Rays
7. Rooted in Heaven
These movements emphasize alignment, endurance, and proper posture, while each hand position also channels the energetic principle embodied in its name.
When we reflect on the idea of the posture and direct not only our attention but our intention within it, we align spirit, mind, and body which is the true purpose of Qigong.
The next movements consist of four exertive Qigong expressions which are called:
1. Descending Waters
2. Crossing Thunder
3. Striking Light
4. Ascending Wind
These movements have several functions:
a. Cleanses stagnant energy
b. Activates the furnace of and chi root energy
c. Enhances circulation and detoxification
d. Allows emotional and energetic release
e. Transitions to stillness.
As the movements come to a close, we return to the creation of Heaven and Earth movement as our hands raise 45 degrees in front of us to our highest point and then descends in praying palm posture without touching hands to continue to allow our chi to flow.
To bring our root chakra work to a close, we end in stillness with the All is One posture, returning to our primordial state of Oneness.
These movements stimulate our root chakra and focus on the following holistic benefits:
1. Overall health and physical grounding
2. Emotional stability and security
3. Mental clarity and discipline
4. Energetic balance and flow
5. Spiritual connection and presence
