Deep Stretching

– A Sestina –

I welcome challenges bcuz of growth.
It reminds me of deep stretching.
Uncomfortable it may be, temporarily so,
the results are beyond our comprehension.
At least what we initially thought,
As we grow stretching our comprehension.

The greatest challenge is being humble;
Bcuz pride has tendencies to enflame
The ego in order to elevate
The self at the cost of
Dignity integrity love mercy and kindness
And that’s not the righteous way.

Speaking of righteousness, trust the process.
Walk by faith, not by sight;
Acknowledge the Most High in everything
Study, pray, meditate, fast, repent, apply
the principles of truth; for life
Is found in light’s fullest emission.

Expression is the essence of individuality;
The challenge is to establish harmony
On earth as is in heaven;
Only then will peace be known
Throughout the entire family of humanity

To see this requires pure vision;
Even selflessness, some call it altruism
A rare quality amongst people today
Being so many souls are conceited
And refuse to think beyond themselves
Which stretches their imagination beyond capacity

And this brings challenges back to center
And though there’s many paths here
Only one truly brings us where
We are supposed to be; established
Upon principles that govern all existence
Including the very lives we live

And though we often feel stretched
Those are the moments of growth
That should never be considered pointless…
